This page explains what we receive when you write to us through buildyx.ro and what we do with it. In short: we use it only to reply.
Who we are

What we receive
The contact form sends us your email address and your message. Along with them we keep the time it was sent and the country it came from, which Cloudflare works out from your IP address. We don't store the IP address itself.
You don't have to give us this data. Without an email address, though, we have no way to reply.
If you write to contact@buildyx.ro directly, we receive whatever you choose to put in that email.
Why we use it
We use your data to reply and to talk through your project. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(b) GDPR: steps taken at your request before a possible contract. When a message isn't about a project, we rely on our legitimate interest in answering people who contact us (Article 6(1)(f)).
We don't sell your data or use it for advertising.
How long we keep it
- Form messages stay in the site's archive for 90 days. After that they are deleted automatically.
- To stop abuse, your email address sits for one hour in a counter that limits how many messages can be sent.
- Emails in our inbox are kept for at most one year after our last exchange with you.
- If we end up working together, the correspondence becomes part of the project records and we keep it for as long as the law requires.
Who else processes it
Two providers process data on our behalf and only on our instructions:
- Cloudflare hosts the site and the form archive.
- Purelymail delivers messages to our inbox.
Both companies are based in the United States, so your data may leave the European Union. Transfers rely on the safeguards GDPR requires, such as the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.
We don't share it with anyone else unless the law requires us to.
Cookies and analytics
We don't use advertising or tracking cookies, so we don't ask for consent. Cloudflare may set technical cookies such as __cf_bm that protect the site from automated traffic.
We count visits with Cloudflare Web Analytics, which uses no cookies and doesn't identify you.
Your rights
You can ask us at any time for:
- access to the data we hold about you
- correction or deletion of that data
- restriction of processing
- a copy in a portable format
- an end to processing based on our legitimate interest
Email contact@buildyx.ro and we'll reply within one month.
If you think we've mishandled your data, you can complain to the Romanian data protection authority (ANSPDCP) at dataprotection.ro or to the authority in your own EU country.
Changes
When we change this page, we update the date at the top.
